The USA Senate Judiciary Committee, voted 13 to 6, today, for the nomination of Solicitor General, Elena Kagan, to a Supreme Court justice.

President Obama thanked the committee for “a bipartisan affirmation of her strong performance during her confirmation hearings."

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, was the sole Republican to join the Democrats - in a vote that moves the nomination to its final stage - a full Senate consideration. In summary, Graham said that "President Obama, I think chose wisely.”
